Is PrismSkies available outside the US?
Not yet. PrismSkies currently serves US residents only. We'll evaluate other markets once US operations are mature.
I'm a student pilot. How do I sign up?
You've got options. Start a free trial of the full Student suite: Ground School, Comms Camp, and the mock oral. Stay on Student when the trial ends, switch to Pilot if the logbook is all you need, or train with a partner school, club, or CFI. Your progress follows you either way.
What's actually free?
Students and pilots start with a free trial of the full Student suite. It runs for a set window. If there is a card on file when the trial ends, the plan you chose starts billing then unless you cancel first. If there is not, you pick a plan or drop to a limited free state. Independent CFIs have a free tier that stays free, a real tenant to run their students without branding. Clubs and schools talk to us to get set up, and the Club / School plan is paid from the start.
What if my school already uses another scheduling tool?
PrismSkies replaces the stack. Most operators drop three to four tools when they move over: scheduling, ground school, and their website among them.
Is the AI a chatbot bolted on?
No. AI is woven through the product: a mock oral you practice with the Digital Pilot Examiner, a radio comms trainer with readback grading, and FAA-source-grounded ground-school explanations. Built in, not bolted on.
What about independent CFIs who don't own a school?
You're our favorite customer. Start a free CFI account, then upgrade to a branded domain and a marketing page when you're ready. No school required.
What if I run a flying club, not a flight school?
There's a Clubs track. Booking rules, shared-aircraft scheduling, and dispatch: your club without the spreadsheet.
What does School Mode mean for a family's bill?
A school can cover training features in bulk so families don't pay individually. If you're already paying for Student and your school covers you, we pause your personal subscription instead of billing you for both: your plan keeps its tier and your records stay intact, and it resumes at its original tier when the coverage ends.
Do I keep my data if I leave?
Yes. Your account and training record belong to you and follow you across schools, clubs, and CFIs. To export or delete your data, contact us and we'll handle it.
Who owns PrismSkies?
PrismSkies LLC, a 50/50 partnership between Nicholas Serrecchia and Eron LeBlanc, both Co-Founders and Co-CEOs. Based in California.
Do you guarantee I'll pass my checkride?
No program should. What we promise: you'll fly with confidence. Our adaptive AI flags gaps before your DPE does.
How do you handle student data?
All identifying PII is envelope-encrypted with a dedicated AWS KMS key that PrismSkies manages, and your school's data is isolated at the database layer so it never crosses into another tenant's. See our Privacy policy for the full story.
